hi there, it took me all day to figure this thing out. Let me post a few tips for other users.
1.) this uses the version 1 components so publish in AS1 and flash version 6.
2.) Both the statistics and the application sfw have to have the same named PeopleList component, then published.
3.) The example file is different from the script in the tutorial, try using a combination of both.

'----> On the left menu under the usernames there is 'chat with user' and under it the number of participants in said chat.
