nomad I assume you mean in the red5.properties correct. Also for some reason I don't have red5 in my services list is there a way to add it?

Where that I find the red5 and download it?

Is the version 7 of the red5 is better than the other version?

And I don't have red5 in my services list too.

Hello nomad,
   You have done great work..Thanks for your help.
   I also followed your instruction and uploaded chat folder at webapps of RED5..Added 4 files mentioned by you to red5.jar.
    I am getting logged in into my red5chat, it also showing voice indicator when I clicked on TALK..
    Only problem is that I cannot see my username when I logged in (My Authentification at .fla file is false only as I dont want Authentification).
    I cannot see username and message posted vice..
    Can you please help exactly what can be wrong? It will be really helpful if you can reply urgently.
    Thanking you

I am sorry for the late reply Ninadgac. First are you hosting this local or via a server. Second what do you have in the RTMP:// and have you made sure that red5 server is running in your services. If you have any services running on port 1935 turn them off like WOWZA or FMS.

Thanks for your reply...
I was eagerly waiting for your response..

I use Linux dedicated hosting (not local one).

Actually I have installed RED 5.0.9 version of RED5 at /root folder on my hosting..

http://92.48.119.155:5080   this one displaying RED5 introduction page.http://92.48.119.155:5080/demos/port_tester.html
this one displaying port tester , if you removed oflatest from that port tester and test it will give success at port 1935.

Actually there is other Flash Media Server3.5 running as well but I have stopped that service..

Is RED5Chat compatible with RED 5.0.9 version..I not able to get RED5.0.7 version anywhere on net.

Thanks

omad778 I noticed you have the flash chat running. Did you have to rewrite any of the code? or just compile the source

AFAIK It's not compatible with Red5 0.9, you can get Red5 0.7 from here :
http://www.nielsenaa.com/red5-installers/red5-0.7.0.tar.gz

I think I'm almost done with red5chat install, but I'm using a hosted server so I have to edit the FLA red5Chat.fla to put my server IP but I don't how to do it.
I've just downloaded Adobe Flash trial, I've managed to open the file but I can't see no text like this :
_root.IP = "88.191.36.127";
_root.port=1934;

_root.authentificateURL = "http://"+_root.IP+"/red5chat/testlogin.php";
_root.infoUserURL="http://"+_root.IP+"/red5chat/infouser.php ";

Any help would be really appreciated ;)

EDIT : sorry for n00b question, It's OK now --> Menu / Window / Actions (F9)

dubwise,
     Thanks for red 5.0.7 download link.
     Which flash version you have?
     Open red5Chat.fla in flash, click on actions window at bottom of your adobe flash window and expand it there you can view above source code.
     If you need any more help write me back or PM(email) me

Regards
ninad

Special thanks to Nomad for sharing his solutions to get red5chat working.

I try and try for days to get red5 0.7.0 working.
Still no succes.

I try svn checkout http://red5.googlecode.com/svn/java/server/tags/0_7_0/ as wel the file from nielsenaa.com (same problem)

The problem is that the jmx jars had been move from the repository source. I cant find it anywere on the web.

This is the error i get:
[ivy:resolve]              Â ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
[ivy:resolve]              Â ::       Â  &nbs p; UNRESOLVED DEPENDENCIES        ::
[ivy:resolve]              Â ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
[ivy:resolve]              Â :: jmx#jmxremote;1.0.1: not found
[ivy:resolve]              Â :: jmx#jmxtools;1.2.1: not found
[ivy:resolve]              Â :: jmx#rmissl;1.0.1: not found
[ivy:resolve]              Â ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Without jmx red5 wont install succesfull :(

I hope someone can help me solving this problem. I really try a lot of things but not any idee anymore. Maybe can someone upload the 3 needed files?

Red5 0.9.0 was working good, but still red5chat wil not work on this release.
